Then you realize that you have been left with some unanswered questions, that keep niggling at you. Nine close friends, four of them couples, gather for their extravagant annual New Year’s getaway-this time at Loch Corrin, a remote estate in the Scottish Highlands-a decade after most of them graduated from Oxford. The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley is definitely a page turner, with all the elements that make it a great thriller. You don’t find out who it is until the end of the novel but there are hints along the way, along with plenty of curveballs to throw off your inner detective.
