The romantic tension in the book was enough to cut with a knife. I loved the room mate Reece and the fact that she is a pistol. I think I enjoyed the scenes with the side- characters the most. I liked that this was the typical: girl turns a certain age, finds she has powers and must now use those powers to save a race of people she otherwise did not know about.
